Letter: Colin Kaepernick should take his ideas elsewhere
Nike shoes

I would like to thank The Times for the informative article “Arizona governor yanks Nike grant over flag shoe flap.” This issue with Colin Kaepernick has stuck in my craw for quite some time, and his latest attempt to denigrate this nation is intolerable.

It is inconceivable to me how any citizen could find offense at the display of our country’s flag, be it the original form or the current one. I cannot understand why a nation, which would afford Mr. Kaepernick the opportunity to make millions, should be the object of his unpatriotic disdain.

If Kaepernick and others who think like him think so little of our nation, they should emigrate to some other country where their socialist, communist ideology would be more at home.

In closing, I call upon all true Americans to boycott Nike and any other institution that does not respect and uphold the greatness and the God-given majesty of this, the greatest nation on Earth.
