Mr. and Mrs. Richard P. Decker of Atlanta announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Mary Amanda Decker to Mr. Steven Smith DeLong, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Harold DeLong Jr. of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Daniel of Tampa, Fla., the late Mr. Richard D. Decker, Mr. Lamar Wallace of Peachtree City and the late Mrs. Mary D. Wallace.

She is a 2000 graduate of The Lovett School in Atlanta. She graduated in 2004 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., with a bachelor's degree in communications and The Arts. She is employed as a marketing and press coordinator with Festival Production Inc., New Orleans, La.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Dixey and the late Mr. and Mrs. G. Harold DeLong.

He is a 2000 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2004 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in accounting and in 2005 with a master's degree in accounting. He is employed as a controller with H.R.I. Properties in New Orleans.

The couple plan to wed Nov 5, 2011, at The Peristyle in City Park, New Orleans.
