Piedmont ensemble strings sounds together

Four string instruments along with a piano will blend their sounds in concert this weekend in Demorest.

The Piedmont Camerata chamber ensemble will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at the college chapel at 992 Central Ave., Demorest.

The ensemble includes David Peyton, cello; Jeri-Mae G. Astolfi, piano; Heather Baird Strachan, violin; Rachael Fischer, violin; and Megan Chisom Peyton, viola.

The program will include works by Pietro Locatelli, Bohuslav Martinu and Johannes Brahms’ monumental “Piano Quintet in F Minor.”

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students/seniors, and free for Piedmont College faculty, staff and students.
