The Athens Guitar Trio will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, in the Piedmont College Chapel on the Demorest campus.

The group formed in 2005 includes Dusty Woodruff, Rylan Smith, and Matthew Anderson.

The trio provides audiences with a program of multiple music styles, including classical, Americana, Spanish, Renaissance and contemporary. Performers use the rare 11-string guitar to extend their ensemble capabilities and sound volume.

The group recently recorded a program for the premiere episode of "UGA Performs," a new Georgia Public Broadcasting show. Their radio presence is featured nationwide, including nationally syndicated "Classical Guitar Alive!"
