ATHENS — Porsha Phillips scored 20 points off the bench to lead Georgia to an 84-75 win over No. 17 Florida on Sunday in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Georgia (17-12, 7-7 Southeastern Conference) got 14 points apiece from Ashley Houts and Christy Marshall.

Danielle Taylor started in place of Phillips and scored all 12 of her points in the first half to pace the Lady Bulldogs to a 45-38 halftime lead.

Marshae Dotson scored 22 points to lead Florida (23-6, 9-5). Steffi Sorensen added 15 points for Florida, which reclaimed the lead early in the second half with aggressive defense.

But a 14-0 run by Georgia pushed the Lady Bulldogs ahead 68-59, capped by an acrobatic putback by Jaleesa Rhoden.

The Gators trimmed the deficit to four points at 71-67, but Georgia led 81-69 with one minute to play after a steal and a layup by Houts.
