Ellerbe to play in East-West Shrine Game

University of Georgia linebacker Dannell Ellerbe will partcipate in the 84th East-West Shrine Game on Saturday in Houston, Texas.

Ellerbe recently played his last game as a Bulldog with a 24-12 win against Michigan State in the 2009 Capital One Bowl on Jan. 1. In 43 games and 20 starts at Georgia, he had 148 tackles, 21 tackle for loss and 28 quarterback hurries.

As a junior 2007, he led the Bulldogs with 93 tackles and was a second-team All-Southeastern Conference selection by the Associated Press. He recently earned a degree in housing.

The East-West Shrine Game has been played annually since 1925 to raise funds for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
