Falcons' CB Hayden and LB Peterson place on injured reserve

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that cornerback Kelvin Hayden and linebacker Mike Peterson have been placed on injured reserve.

Hayden, 6-0, 195 pounds, was originally selected as a second round draft choice by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2005 NFL Draft and signed with the Falcons as a free agent in 2011. Hayden played in eight games this season, totaling 27 tackles with two interceptions and four passes defensed.

Peterson, 6-1, 226 pounds, was originally selected as a second round draft choice by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1999 draft and joined the Falcons as a free agent in 2008. This season, he has collared 23 tackles with one interception.
