Letter: Hospital’s Heart Center staff offered a warm welcome to a new patient

We recently moved to Gainesville from South Carolina to downsize and enjoy the carefree life of retirees. A major chore initially is to pick new doctors in our various areas of need. To that end, one of my new neighbors referred me to a cardiologist with the Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

To check that facility out, I went online via Google and found a couple of reviews that were quite frankly very negative of this facility. Going into my first meeting with Dr. Wong recently, I was a little skeptical of the reception I would receive.

When I got there everyone from the receptionist to Dr. Wong’s nurse were friendly, competent and timely in getting this new patient checked into the system. Dr. Wong was very thorough, outgoing, observant and easy to talk to. He also took a lot of time to ensure he understood my condition and what areas to focus on in the future.

I walked out of this facility very happy with my neighbor’s referral and my new cardiologist. It is clearly a first class medical facility.
