Quiet day on Lake Lanier and on area roads Saturday

Saturday was a calm day for law enforcement in the midst of the July Fourth holiday weekend.

The Department of Natural Resources reported only one incident Saturday on Lake Lanier, a citation for marijuana possession.

No serious incidents were reported on area highways.

Statewide, the Georgia State Patrol reported six traffic deaths and 483 injuries. The GSP has predicted 18 fatalities over the four-day weekend, which ends at midnight.
