The Gainesville Police Department is looking for a suspect they say robbed a man at Harrison Square Apartments just after midnight Saturday.

Public Information Officer Joe Britte said a black male allegedly attacked a Gainesville man, stealing $55 from his wallet and then stealing his red 1999 Ford Ranger truck.

The victim "was attacked and beaten about his face, which left visible injuries," Britte said. "His wallet and truck key were taken from him by force."

The suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, 6-feet in height, weighing 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Gainesville Police Department at 770-534-5252.
