A 17-year-old jogger was kidnapped on Barrett Road and sexually assaulted after being taken to a home at nearby Wood Creek Place. Brandon Nix, 27, was arrested by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office in connection with the incident and faces charges of kidnapping, sexual battery and aggravated sodomy.
A 17-year-old girl who was kidnapped and sexually assaulted Sunday escaped her alleged captor when a neighbor knocked on the door, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. Brandon Scott Nix, 27, of Gainesville, is accused of grabbing the girl around the neck, forcing her into his car and taking her to his Wood Creek Place residence. According to warrants filed Tuesday, Nix allegedly strangled and choked her, “causing her to lose consciousness during a kidnapping and sexual assault ...” Nix then allegedly confined the girl in his bedroom and sexually assaulted her, according to the warrants.
