Former Gainesville Police Chief Brian Kelly was found dead around 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the White County Coroner’s Office. The White County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office said the death is under investigation and did not release any further details at this time. “We appreciate his service to the Gainesville Police Department and the citizens,” Gainesville Police Chief Carol Martin said.
