More than $45,000 worth of methamphetamine was seized by Hall County and Gainesville’s anti-drug task force in a Tuesday bust. Officers with the Gainesville Police Department and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Wayne Best, of Canton, N.C., and seized methamphetamine, MDMA, a rifle that had been reported stolen and $1,000 in cash. Officers found Best, 34, at a residence in the 5000 block of Maiden Lane in Lula with approximately 1 pound of meth, 14 pills and the rifle, according to a Wednesday announcement from the sheriff’s office.
