Two people were transported to the hospital Monday afternoon from a four-vehicle accident on Interstate 985 southbound that left one lane closed for about a half hour, Georgia State Patrol reported.
About 2:39 p.m., a Jeep was struck by a Mitsubishi that then struck a Chevy truck, said GSP trooper Daniel Joiner. Then a Lexus car rear-ended the Mitsubishi.
The accident happened near Exit 16 when the Jeep and Chevy slowed down to stop for an unknown reason, Joiner said.
Two people who complained of non-life threatening injuries were taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Joiner said.
