Shannon Nicole Whitehead and Michael Shaun Mooney were united in marriage at 6 p.m. June 9, 2007, at the Northeast Georgia History Center in Gainesville.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia Whitehead of Gainesville and the late Charles L. Whitehead. The groom is the son of late Diane L. and George H. Senner and Donald Sam Mooney of Ruston, La.

The Rev. Alan Morris performed the ceremony. Pianist Erice Johnson presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her brother Charles L. Whitehead II of Gainesville. The bride’s friend Sandi Krick of Buford was matron of honor. The bride’s cousin Macey LaCourt of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom’s son John Cameron Mooney of Burnet, Texas, was the best man. The bride’s cousin Kenden LaCourt of Gainesville was the ring bearer.

The bride wore a diamond heart pendant that her father had given her mother on their wedding day.

The groom’s mother gave a rehearsal dinner at KiKu Japanese Steak House in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s mother gave a reception at the Northeast Georgia History Center in Gainesville following the ceremony. Jeannine Covington was the wedding coordinator.Erin Arnold and K.C. Richard kept the bride’s book.

Following a wedding trip to Vogel State Park in Blairsville, the couple resides in Gainesville.
