Wanda and Danny Fowler of Dahlonega and Ricky Hayes of Clermont announce the engagement of their daughter Heather Ann Hayes to Dylan Kepler Connell, son of Betsy Connell of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Harold and Fran Baker of Lula and Eugene and Bobbie Hayes of Clermont.

She is a 2006 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She is employed as a server with Mellow Mushroom in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Nancy Thomas of Buffalo, N.Y., the late Donald Thomas, Margaret Connell of Dayton Ohio and the late George Connell.

He is a 2006 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed as kitchen manager with Mellow Mushroom in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed April, 2012.
