The exhibit “Ring Road” showcases work inspired by artists Rachel and Trevor Reese’s trip to Iceland during the summer solstice. It is on display at the Roy C. Moore Art Gallery on UNG Gainesville campus.
Iceland’s majestic scene, the outdoor life and the impact of Elephant Six is the focus of three separate art endeavours at the University of North Georgia this month. UNG will feature various artists and diverse forms of art in galleries on the Oconee, Gainesville and Dahlonega campuses An exhibit called Ring Road, showcasing work inspired by Georgia artists Rachel and Trevor Reese’s trip to Iceland during the summer solstice, is on display at the Roy C. Moore Art Gallery on UNG Gainesville campus. Video and photographs by Rachel Reese captured during the circumnavigation of the island are included along with new sculptures by Trevor Reese inspired by Iceland’s dynamic plant life.
