Organizers are bringing the "Soul Man of Beach Music," Craig Woolard, to Lake Lanier Islands on Saturday.

Woolard and The Craig Woolard Band will be performing in the Legends at the Lake Concert series at the resort's Grand Hall. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the performance will begin at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $26.75 per person, with a cash bar and concessions available.

Woolard has enjoyed more than 30 years in the music industry. Concert organizers say he has the "classic style of Ray Charles, the dynamics of Marvin Gaye and Rod Stewart, the soul of James Brown and the vocal prowess of Steve Perry of Journey."

In 2010, Woolard was selected as the Carolina Beach Awards Male Vocalist of the Year. Over the years, he and his band have also collected song of the year, best group of the year and entertainer of the year awards.

The band specializes in building their sets from a variety of music genres, including Top 40, rock and roll, Motown and of course, beach music. The band has had more than 13 No. 1 hits with songs like "Your Love is Amazing" and "Impossible."

In addition to Woolard, the band includes six performers: Greg Watson, Keith Stone, Andy Swindell, Alan Wentz, Don Jordan, Adam Barber and Jeppy White. The group prides itself on providing a 100 percent live show and doesn't use pre-recorded music tracks, background vocals or sequencing.

This weekend's performance is just one of several Legends at the Lake concerts that the resort has scheduled. The next concert Aug. 20 will feature the NashVegas Allstars.
