May 13: Free concert with the PAK from 7-9 p.m.
June 3: First Friday with the Dave Anderson Band from 8-10 p.m.
June 17: Karaoke Kickoff from 7-10 p.m.
July 1: Beach Bash with 80 tons of sand. 6-10 p.m.
Aug. 5: First Friday with Fly Betty Band from 8-10 p.m.

Sounds of music will often be heard filling the Square in downtown Gainesville in coming months.
Main Street Gainesville is behind two concert series that are already underway: Summer Concerts on the Square and the Blue Sky Concert Series.
“Everybody is just loving the concerts,” Main Street Gainesville manager Regina Mansfield said. “There’s a little bit of something for everybody.”
Last Friday, the 80ators played the first First Friday event of the year and Mansfield said about 1,500 people attended.
In addition to being fun, free events for families, local businesses tend to do well during concerts.
“They bring people downtown and Main Street Gainesville is all about revitalization and keeping downtown vibrant,” Mansfield said, adding people tend to eat in downtown restaurants or shop while they’re there.
“It brings people downtown and provides a fun and safe family event that’s free,” she said. “It keeps our downtown buzzing and it’s a really good atmosphere.”
More events are being added to the schedule all the time, Mansfield said. One event to keep an eye out for is an adult prom — which organizers are trying to put together for July.
