Bands, barbecue and a parade will march into downtown Lula this weekend for the 38th annual Railroad Days.

The Ramblin Country Band with Steve Dyer will kick off the free festivities at 7 p.m. Friday. Residents are encouraged to wear their dancing shoes.

Once dancers work up a thirst or hunger, they may chow down on barbecue from Friends of the Depot.

On Saturday, a parade will take over Main Street at 10 a.m. Activities will last all day on Athens and Wall streets in Lula.

Vendor booths will be available for residents to wander in and out while listening to various musicians playing on the stage. Scheduled performers include the Steve Bryson Band and Starr Phelps.
