This weekend, a group of professional anglers will be sailing into Gainesville with the Fishing 4 Reel Outdoors tournament, but their focus is larger than just a good catch.

Their goal is to reel in a new generation of minority fishers. This is the second year that Fishing 4 Reel, which is a bass fishing association and tournament trail, has come to Hall County.

On Friday, the group will set up shop in the parking of J&J Foods on Jesse Jewell Parkway to interact with the youth and showcase their boats and equipment.

The "reel" fun begins around 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Park, 3100 Cleveland Highway in Gainesville.

Although the anglers will be heading out on the lake at first light, the community is invited to come participate in the festivities around 1:30 p.m.

Admission is free, as are refreshments for the youth. There will be games, giveaways, boat displays and an opportunity to meet the anglers once they return with their catch.

There will be a keynote address around 3:30 p.m., followed by a prize ceremony.
