Book lovers can comb through stacks of fiction and nonfiction during the annual used book sale this weekend.

The Friends of the Hall County Library is having its annual sale Saturday, Sept. 20, and Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Gainesville library. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday at 684 Main St. SW.

During the sale, almost all hardback books are $1 while paperbacks are 50 cents. Then from 3-4 p.m. Sunday, the nonprofit will have its Fire Sale, allowing visitors to fill a paper grocery bag with as many books as will fit for $5. Children’s books along with video and audio materials also will be sold.
