Summer concert series to benefit John Jarrard Foundation

Songwriters Pat Alger will kick off the John Jarrard Foundation Summer Songwriter Series with a concert Saturday night at the Brenau Downtown Center.
The John Jarrard Foundation is bringing a bit of the Nashville music scene to Gainesville with the annual Summer Songwriter Series. The concert series, which kicks off at 7 p.m. Saturday at Brenau Downtown Center, features songwriters new to the foundation’s concert events and some repeat entertainers who have become favorites. “We have been doing the John Jarrard shows going on our 13th year, and we have had such a great response to the songwriters who come out and perform,” said Jody Jackson, the foundation’s executive director.
