The Return formed in 1995 when four friends got together to play their favorite Beatles songs for fun. Not too long after that, they found themselves playing in front of an audience. That show — which was supposed to be a one time thing — led to another gig. Then, the bandmates were performing on a regular basis, and decided to make it official. They called themselves the Roaches, according to The Return’s website.

As time went on, the band wanted to recreate the early 1960s Beatles concert experience from the tiniest detail such as John Lennon’s on-stage gum-chewing to the biggest, most expensive details of using exact replicas of the instruments. They also learned to comb their hair in the mop-top fashion and found the boots and black suits. The bandmates began learning each song note for note and perfected the signature moves.

Finally, after a few members came and went, the band took on a professional presence and changed its name to The Return, the website said. The Return bandmates are Richard Stelling as John, Shane Landers as Paul, Michael Fulop as George and Adam Thurston as Ringo.
