Tides beat G-Braves, 6-3

A strong outing by Troy Patton and a three-run homer by Jeff Salazar powered the Tides to a 6-3 win over the Gwinnett Braves on Wednesday night at Harbor Park.

Patton (1-2) picked up the victory after allowing two earned runs on five hits in six innings of work. The 24-year-old walked two and struck out four, surrendering only a two-run homer to Freddie Freeman in the fourth inning.

Gwinnett starter Ryne Reynoso (0-3) took the loss, yielding four runs on five hits in five innings.  

Gwinnett wraps up the series at 12:15 p.m. today.
