The Gwinnett Braves built a 4-0 lead after two innings, but were unable to hold off the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, who came back to win 7-6 on Saturday at Gwinnett Stadium.
The G-Braves (34-29) put together a two-out rally in the first inning to score three runs off Yankees starter Casey Fossum.
The Yankees (37-25) rallied by scoring three runs in the fourth and four runs in the fifth to take a 7-6 lead. Three of those seven runs were unearned, as the Yankees took advantage of fielding errors from Reid Gorecki, Kody Kirkland and Brian Barton.
Atlanta Braves first baseman Casey Kotchman went 0-for-1 with two RBIs in his first rehab assignment with Gwinnett.
Gwinnett concludes its series with the Yankees at 2 p.m. today at Gwinnett Stadium.
