Brian McCann, playing in his second rehab game in as many days, homered on the way to a 4-2 Gwinnett Braves victory over the Pawtucket Red Sox on Saturday at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.
McCann's solo home run in the fourth inning gave the G-Braves (67-54) a 2-1 lead they wouldn't relinquish. He finished the game 1-for-3.
Wilkin Ramirez went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Mauro Gomez was 3-for-4.
Todd Redmond (9-8) earned the win, pitching seven innings and allowing a run on five hits to go with six strikeouts and two walks.
Corey Gearrin pitched the ninth for his third save of the season.
The G-Braves and Red Sox play today at 2:05 p.m., with Gwinnett sending Yohan Flande to face Matt Fox.
