G-Braves take over 1st place

The Gwinnett Braves scored four runs in the top of the first off of Durham starter Alex Cobb en route to a 4-1 win in game one of the four game home and home series.

The G-Braves (45-37) move into first place in the International League South, one game in front of the Bulls (44-38).

LHP Yohan Flande (4-4) worked gave up five hits and had seven strikeouts in six innings for his second win in a row.

Brandon Hicks went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in the first. Hicks is now on a nine game hitting streak. Mauro Gomez was 1-for-4.
