G-Braves drop into a tie for wildcard spot

Gwinnett Braves starting pitcher Julio Teheran allowed a season-high six earned runs in a 9-4 loss to the Norfolk Tides on Thursday in Norfolk, Va.

With the loss, Triple-A Gwinnett (76-64) is in a tie in the International League wildcard standings with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

Gwinnett designated hitter Wilkin Ramirez finished the game with a two-run home run and two hits. Meanwhile, third baseman Diory Hernandez had a double, triple and a run scored.

Gwinnett faces the Charlotte Knights at 7:15 tonight in Fort Mill, S.C.
