North Georgia picked third in Peach Belt Conference

The North Georgia College & State University baseball program received one first place vote and picked to finish third in the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference this season, according to a poll of the 12 conference coaches. The Saints (34-24 last season) lost in the championship game of the Peach Belt Conference tournament against Francis Marion, 4-1, last season.

The University of South Carolina-Aiken received eight first place votes and 114 total points to win the conference title this season. Francis Marion earned two first place votes and picked to finish second in the Peach Belt. Georgia College was picked to finish fourth in the conference.

The rest of the order included, Columbus State (fifth), UNC-Pembroke (sixth), Armstrong Atlantic University (seventh), Lander (eighth), Augusta State (ninth), Flagler University (tenth), Montevallo (11th) and Georgia Southwestern (12th).
North Georgia opens the season against Pfeiffer University on Feb. 5 in Dahlonega.
