Hamlin wins for 25th time, and fifth time at Martinsville

MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Denny Hamlin just needed a visit to Martinsville Speedway to get his racing team back on track. Now, with his spot in NASCAR's Chase for the championship virtually assured, they can work to make it better. Hamlin passed teammate Matt Kenseth for the lead with 28 laps to go Sunday and ended Toyota's 32-race winless streak in the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Martinsville Speedway.

Former Tennessee linebacker and Gainesville High graduate A.J. Johnson has a curfew and must abstain from alcohol as part of the modifications to his bond conditions while he awaits an aggravated rape trial. The changes come after Johnson’s DUI arrest last month. Under the modifications agreed to on Thursday, Johnson will be supervised by a pretrial release officer and must submit to drug screens upon request.
