Georgia's Lee McCoy named to United States Walker Cup team

Habersham Central High graduate will square off against leading amateurs from Great Britain, Ireland

University of Georgia golfer and Habersham Central High graduate Lee McCoy was named to the United States Walker Cup Team, the United States Golf Association announced Monday. The Walker Cup is a tournament contested biennially between the leading amateur golfers of the United States against their counterparts from Great Britain and Ireland. The 45th match will be held Sept. 12-13 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club in Lancashire, England.
