Local golf: Carroll, Bachman team up to take first in Chattahoochee event

The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a two-man team match elimination game on Wednesday at  the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

The team of Jim Carroll and Dick Bachman won first place.

Second place went to the team of Eddie Johnson and Jere Cochran.

Tied for third place were the teams of Ed Pledger and Bill Sutton, and Johnny Little and Roy Lyle.

Closest to the pin winners were Bob Henderson (No. 3), AJ Kiker (No. 5) and Cochran (No. 12 and 17).  

WEDNESDAY DOGFIGHT

The Wednesday Dogfight Golf Group played last week at the Chicopee Woods Golf Course in Gainesville.

The team of Jeb Bates, Roger Stapp, Larry Miller and Bill Jorgenson took top honors.

Tied for second place were the teams of Brandon Martin, Jerry Horton, Dan Arthurs and Bradley Dunkel, and Mark Black, Don Schrum, Alan Kellogg and Mike Tilson.

Stapp also won first place in the individual competition. Tilson won second place, Bates won third and Greg Lee and Yoshi Keiichi tied for fourth place.  


DEDICATED PLAYERS GROUP

This week’s only DPG match was played Wednesday at Chicopee Woods.  Terrence Dale took first place with a plus-6 score, and James Roberts finished in second place with a plus-5.
