The fourth-ranked Towns County girls basketball team fell to No. 8 Pace Academy, 69-54, on Tuesday in the second round of the Class A state tournament in Hiawassee.
The season is now complete for Region 8-A champion Towns County (27-2).
The third seed from Region 5-A, Pace Academy will face the second seed from Region 5-A, Saint Francis, at 7 p.m. Saturday in the quarterfinals at Marietta High.
