With Wednesday’s National Signing Day approaching quickly, four more local football players made oral commitments to the colleges of their choice Monday.

Buford’s Kody Case, son of former NFL player Scott Case, has accepted a scholarship offer from Valdosta State. The receiver/defensive back tallied 17 receptions for 244 yards and five touchdowns and 31 tackles and three interceptions while helping the Wolves to the Class AA state title last year.

Fellow Wolves Billy Johnson and Cody Vining accepted spots as preferred walk-ons at the University of Georgia and Valdosta State, respectively. Johnson, an offensive lineman, is expected to compete for the Bulldogs long snapper position, while Vining is expected to line up at safety for Valdosta State.

White County’s Brandon Vaught, a first-team Times All-Area selection, committed to Western Carolina on Monday. The safety collected 100 tackles and five interceptions for the Warriors last season.
