The Lakeview Academy volleyball team opened the season Saturday with two wins at the Area 8-AA play date.

The Lady Lions (2-3) defeated Athens Christian and Walnut Grove and lost to Athens Academy, North Oconee and Prince Avenue Christian.

Louisa Jacobs led Lakeview with 15 kills on the day, while Anna Claire Dover had seven assists, Morgan Black had two blocks, Megan Rochester had four digs and Ivey Godfrey and Katie Zottnick combined for seven aces.

Lakeview Academy visits Athens Christian on Thursday.
