Chestatee girls fall in second round of playoffs

Despite an early goal from Alexis Rebollar to take a 1-0 lead Tuesday in Acworth, the Chestatee girls soccer team lost 3-1 to Allatoona in the second round of the Class AAA state playoffs. The Lady War Eagles' season ends at 15-5.

Rebollar's goal came with the assist from Morgan Dooley only eight minutes into the game.

However, Allatoona scored the equalizer with a goal from Ali Greisi with nine minutes to play in the opening half.

Seven minutes later, Suzanne Arafa scored for the Lady Buccaneers.

Allatoona scored the final goal with 13 minutes remaining on a direct kick from Willough Davis.

COLONIAL HILLS CHRISTIAN 2, NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN 1: The season for the North Georgia Christian soccer team came to an end with a loss to Colonial Hills Christian in the ICSGA Class A/AA state semifinals on Tuesday in Lithia Springs.

Andrew Pulliam scored the Chargers' (10-8) goal on an assist from Clay Cox.

Golf
RIVERSIDE PLACES SEVENTH:
Led by Kyle Wilkison's round of 76, the Riverside Military golf team placed seventh in the Class A state golf tournament Monday at the Green Island Country Club in Columbus.

Wilkison, who finished tied for ninth individually, combined with Austin Klee (79), Michael Martoccia (80) and Chris Reed (90) to card a 325.

With a first-place individual finish from Carter Mize (69), Brookstone won the team title with a score of 295. Savannah Christian (307) was second, with Savannah Country Day and First Presbyterian Day tying for third at 316.

Holy Innocents carded a 320 to round out the top five.
