Rebollar sets school record in Chestatee's win

Alexis Rebollar scored twice and the Chestatee girls soccer team held off a late rally by North Hall to win 4-3 on Friday at War Eagles Stadium. The win marked the first time in school history the Lady War Eagles (9-3, 4-3 Area 8A-AAA) have beaten the Lady Trojans (6-6, 6-3). Rebollar’s second goal gave her 22 on the season, a new school record.

Danielle Berry scored two goals to lead North Hall, which trailed 3-0 at halftime. North Hall visits Grady at 6:55 p.m., and Chestatee hosts Lumpkin County at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday.

WEST HALL GIRLS 5, FRANKLIN COUNTY 0: Monica Pascual scored twice in the win Friday in Carnesville. Rachel Kline, Katie Forrester and Yohet Terrones each scored one goal, while Alex Smith earned the shutout in goal for West Hall (9-3, 6-2 Area 8B-AAA), which visits Lanier at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WEST HALL BOYS 3, FRANKLIN COUNTY 2:
McGowan Peacock, Chandler Ligas and Omar Castillo each scored on Friday in Carnesville. Ligas also added an assist for West Hall (7-4-1, 5-3 Area 8B-AAA), which visits Lanier at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WHITE COUNTY GIRLS 9, MONROE AREA 1:
Brie Ballinger recorded a hat trick in the win Friday in Cleveland. Savannah Castles added two goals for White County (11-1, 6-1 Area 8A-AAA), which hosts Stephens County at 5:30 p.m. April 5.

BUFORD GIRLS 9, CROSS KEYS 0:
Katie Garth scored three goals in the win Friday in Buford. Jessica Navarro was one of six to score a goal for the Lady Wolves (10-2, 3-1 Area 6A-AA), which visits Jackson-Atlanta at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

UNION COUNTY BOYS 4, BANKS COUNTY 1:
Vincent Thomas, Corbin Carter, Andrew Pestana and Jacob Spalding scored for the Panthers (11-0-1, 4-0 Area 8A-AA), who visit Dawson County at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

NORTH HALL BOYS 2, CHESTATEE 1 (PKs): The Trojans (8-4, 7-2 Area 8A-AAA) won 4-3 in penalty kicks to the earn the win Friday at Chestatee. North Hall visits Grady at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Baseball

WEST HALL 7, MONROE AREA 6: Turk Taylor went 3-for-4 and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning Friday for the Spartans (5-8, 3-8 Region 8-AAA) in Oakwood. Ethan Stuart also went 3-for-4 for the Spartans, who host Walnut Grove at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.

JOHNSON 13, CHESTATEE 3: Trae Wilson went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Knights to the win Friday at Chestatee. A.J. Benefield added a home run and two RBIs on 2-for-4 hitting for Johnson, which hosts Stephens County at 5:55 p.m. Monday.

Lucas Bennett (3-for-4) added a double, an RBI and a run scored for Chestatee, which visits Lanier at 5:55 p.m. Monday.

LOGANVILLE 7, FLOWERY BRANCH 1: The Falcons (7-2, 3-1 Region 8-AAAA) scored their lone run in the bottom of the final inning Friday in Flowery Branch, and visit Apalachee at 5:55 p.m. Monday.

WHITE COUNTY 4, LANIER 0: David Sosebee (4-0) earned the complete-game win Friday in Sugar Hill. Sosebee struck out seven and surrendered only one hit for White County (10-1, 9-1 Region 8-AAA). Hayden Cummins went 2-for-3 and Brett Westmoreland hit a solo home run for the Warriors, which host Lumpkin County at 5:55 p.m. Monday.

ATHENS ACADEMY 3, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 2: Taylor Simpson struck out 14 on Friday in Gainesville, but took the loss. Nick Drury went 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI, while Dallas Deavers went 3-for-4 and Austin Montgomery went 2-for-4 for Lakeview (4-8, 3-5 Region 8-A). The Lions had 12 hits as a team, compared to only three for Athens Academy. Lakeview hosts East Hall at 1 p.m. Saturday.

JEFFERSON 7, EAST JACKSON 3: The Dragons (6-6, 5-5 Area 8B-AA) scored six runs in the first inning and cruised to the win Friday in Jefferson. Jesse Tallent went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Jefferson, while Jason Demos added a run scored and an RBI on 2-for-4 hitting. Drew Carson earned the win on the mound with eight strikeouts for the Dragons, who visit Hart County at 5:55 p.m. Monday.

Golf

WHITE COUNTY GIRLS 93, LUMPKIN COUNTY 103 (THURSDAY): Brittan Slaton (45) and Jodi Samples (48) lead the Lady Warriors to the win at Mossy Creek. White County plays in the Field Ferry Invitational on April 4 in Calhoun.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 3, MOUNTAIN VIEW 2: Elizabeth Mallory and the team of Madison Smith/Bekki Benton won in straight sets Friday in Flowery Branch. The Lady Falcons (15-1, 8-0 Region 8-AAAA) visit Clarke Central at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 5, MOUNTAIN VIEW 0: Taylor Fiorello, Cris Dilidili, A.J. Morris and the team of Isaac Black and Christopher Hedden won in straight sets Friday in Flowery Branch. The Falcons (11-5, 7-1 Region 8-AAAA) visit Clarke Central at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 5, COMMERCE 0 (THURSDAY): Seth Black, Alex Klecan and Matt Morris won singles in straight sets for the Lions.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 4, COMMERCE 1 (THURSDAY):
Niki Patel, Hannah Ackerman and the teams of Cree Nix/Komal Patel and Sarah Grace Brock/Emmeline Whitehead won in straight sets for the Lady Lions.
