The Gainesville High baseball team earned an 8-4 Region 8-AAAAA victory at Clarke Central on Friday in Athens. Harrison Styles threw six innings and allowed five hits to pick up the win, which improved the Red Elephants to 8-1 overall and 3-0 in region play. Michael Curry had two hits, including a two-run home run, and Brandon Sewell went 3 for 4 with two RBIs for Gainesville.
