Edwards leads East Hall

Brian Edwards led East Hall with a team-high 17 points in a 73-68 win against Banks County Tuesday night in Homer. Hayden Chapman added 16 points and J.C. Hampton finished with 13 for the Vikings.

Clayton Martin scored a game-high 18 points for the Leopards. Taylor Foster added 13 points, Jacob Blalock had 12 and Adam Hiten finished with 11 for Banks County.

Caleb Holtzclaw recorded a steal and hit two three-pointers for the Vikings to take a 65-60 lead late in the fourth quarter.

East Hall hosts Fannin County at 8:30 p.m. Friday, and Banks County hosts Union County at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 55, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 49: Jacy Ramey and Marissa Ivey each scored 14 points for the Lady Falcons Tuesday night in Flowery Branch. Tavia Sykes added 12 points and Cara Chilton finished with 10 for the Lady Falcons.

Habersham Central led 41-37 at the end of the third quarter, but Flowery Branch came back and outscored the Lady Raiders 18-8 in the fourth.

The Lady Falcons host Clarke Central at 7 p.m. Friday.

FLOWERY BOYS BRANCH 42, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 39: Jamaad Stephens had a team-high 17 points for the Falcons (12-11, 5-3 Region 8-AAAA) Tuesday night in Flowery Branch.

The Falcons hosts Clarke Central at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 50, FRANKLIN COUNTY 35: Emily Crain led the Lady War Eagles (14-9, 4-4 Region 8-AAA North) with a team-high 13 points Tuesday night in Carnesville. Maegan Kenimer added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Chestatee.

The Lady War Eagles host White County at 7 p.m. Friday in Gainesville.

BUFORD GIRLS 69 DECATUR 41: The Lady Wolves secured the No. 1 ranking for region 6-AA Tuesday night in Buford. Kaela Davis led the Lady Wolves (15-7, 11-0 Region 6A-AA) with a team-high 25 points, Emily Adams added 15 and Caitlyn Dawkins finished with 10.

Buford hosts Cross Keys at 6 p.m. Friday.

BUFORD BOYS 68, DECATUR 49: Kyle Kellam led the Wolves (17-6, 10-1 Region 6A-AA) with a team-high 20 points Tuesday night in Buford. A.J. Davis scored 13 points, T.J. Shipes added 12 and Coby Durden finished with 10 for the Wolves.

RABUN COUNTY GIRLS 69, UNION COUNTY 55: Senior Rebecka Merritt led the Lady Panthers (18-4, 5-2 Region 8-AA North) with a team-high 18 points Tuesday night in Blairsville. Catie Tanner added 17 points for Union County and Angie Hughes finished with 10.

The Lady Panthers visit Banks County at 7 p.m. Friday in Homer.

RABUN COUNTY BOYS 79, UNION COUNTY 55: Zach Odom led the Panthers (11-11, 2-5 Region 8-AA North) with a team-high 17 points Tuesday night in Blairsville. James Rowe added 15 points, and Rhett McCombs finished with 13 for Union County.

The Panthers visit Banks County at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Homer.

WHITE COUNTY GIRLS 50, NORTH HALL 44: Mary Kate Rushton led the Lady Trojans (16-7, 7-1 Region 8-AAA North) with a game-high 16 points Tuesday night in Gainesville. Sara Paschall added nine points and pulled down 10 rebounds for North Hall.

Shauna Anderson led the Lady Warriors with a team-high 10 points.

North Hall hosts Franklin County at 6 p.m. Friday.

NORTH HALL BOYS 51, WHITE COUNTY 37: Ebo Smith led the Trojans (20-3, 8-0 Region 8-AAA North) with a team-high 20 points and Avery Cagle added 14 Tuesday night in Gainesville.

North Hall hosts Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

HORIZON CHRISTIAN ACADEMY BOYS 71, NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN 47: Dylan Boonstra and Trey Collins each scored 13 points for the Chargers on Tuesday night in Gainesville.

North Georgia Christian visits Brandon Hall at 7 p.m. Friday in Milton.

COMMERCE BOYS 64, RIVERSIDE MILITARY ACADEMY 58: Adrian Humphrey led the Eagles (5-9, 5-6 Region 8-A) with a team-high 20 points and Dyevas Martin added 16 Tuesday night in Gainesville.

Junior Thomas McMillan led the Tigers with a game-high 33 points and Jonathan Book added 16 points.

Riverside Military hosts Tallulah Falls at 6 p.m. Friday and Commerce hosts Lakeview Academy at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 38, FANNIN COUNTY 23: Tyler Dominy led the Tigers (17-5, 4-3 Region 8-AA North) with a game-high 15 points Tuesday night in Blue Ridge.

Dawson County visits Rabun County at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Tiger.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 55, LANIER 42: Shaquan Cantrell led the Red Elephants (15-8, 9-2 Region 8-AAA South) with a game-high 24 points and eight rebounds Tuesday night in Gainesville.

Lance White added 13 points and five assists for the Red Elephants.

Gainesville visits East Hall at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
