Young scores 35 in win over Falcons

West Hall junior point guard Jarquise Young hit six 3-pointers and finished the game with 35 points in a 65-60 win against Flowery Branch on Wednesday in Flowery Branch.

Dylan Bartlett finished with 12 points for the Spartans (12-9, 4-6 Region 7B-AAA) and Dre Pou had 10.

Ishmael Hollis scored a team-high 24 for Flowery Branch (10-10, 5-4 Region 7B-AAA). Kevin Kanca finished with 15 for the Falcons.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 48, WEST HALL 24: Jessica Harper and Chelsey Young each scored 10 points for the Lady Falcons (12-7, 5-4 Region 7B-AAA) on Wednesday in Oakwood.

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 63, CHESTATEE 55: Ashely Lowery scored a game-high 22 points for the Warriors on Wednesday in Cleveland. Luke Crumley and Andrew London each finished with 13 for the Warriors (10-9, 5-4 Region 7A-AAA).

Jackson Chandler led the War Eagles with 15 points.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 61, WHITE COUNTY 40: Peyton Robertson scored 18 points with six rebounds for Chestatee on Wednesday. Shelby Bright had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Lady War Eagles (17-4, 8-1 Region 7A-AAA).

PICKENS GIRLS 54, LUMPKIN COUNTY 35: Lindsey Hammontree scored 10 points for the Lady Dragons (18-4, 8-2 Region 7A-AAA) on Wednesday in Dahlonega.

Emma Thomaswick led Lumpkin County with 14 points and Cara Malone added 10.

John Anderson (103), Matt Joy (112), Tyler Kratzer (119), Wesley Adams (125), AJ Berry (145) and Allen Kattelman (160) all won their matches for the Trojans (21-11).
