The Vikings opened subregion play with on a winning note with a 75-63 win against Johnson on Tuesday in Gainesville.
Charles Perry led East Hall (7-6, 1-0 7B-AAA) with 15 points. He was 12-for-12 in free throw attempts.
Kymmon Woods also scored in double figures for the Vikings, with 13 points. Dustin Duckworth added nine points.
Brandon Finch scored 16 points for Johnson (7-6, 0-1 7B-AAA).
East Hall plays host to Flowery Branch at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Johnson visits West Hall at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
East Hall girls 70, Johnson 19 (Tuesday)
The Lady Vikings allowed only one point in the first quarter and jumped out to a 22-point lead to earn its first subregion win early on Tuesday in Gainesville.
Simone Hampton led 13 different East Hall (8-5, 1-0 7B-AAA) scorers with 17 points. Morgan Jackson also scored in double figures, with 12 points.
Carlyn Ivey led Johnson with seven points.
East Hall plays host to Flowery Branch at 7 p.m. Friday. Johnson visits West Hall at 7 p.m. Friday.
North Georgia Christian boys 61, Mt. Zion 52 (Tuesday)
Trey Redmond recorded a double-double with 32 points and 13 rebounds for the Chargers on Tuesday in Jonesboro.
Nathan Wright also scored in double figures for North Georgia Christian (10-6), with 10 points.
North Georgia Christian plays host to New Creation of McDonough at 7:30 p.m today.
WRESTLING
Riverside splits home meet
The Eagles split a three-team match with a 58-24 win against Chestatee and a 45-24 loss to Habersham Central on Tuesday in Gainesville.
Evan Sarhan (125 pounds), Diego Oseguedo-Weiner (215), Colton Keig (285), Drew Goodwin (112) and Kelton Counts (171) each had two wins for Riverside. Jacob Thompson (103), Michael Stamps (119), James Nicholson (130), Michael Hilliard (135) and Mancini Udoji (160) each had one win the Eagles.
Riverside faces West Hall and Meadowcreek at 5 p.m. next Tuesday at West Hall.
Chestatee visits Fannin County at 5:30 p.m. next Tuesday against Fannin County, Lumpkin County and Pickens.
