The North Hall (8-3) girls came out on top against Forsyth Central 76-71 on Wednesday in the Holiday Shootout at Johnson.

Mary Kate Rushton led the Lady Trojans in their win with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Sarah Paschall added 16 points and 12 rebounds. McKenna Rushton added 14 points and freshman Sydney Cleveland finished with 10 points.

North Hall will play at 2 p.m. today against North Forsyth.

NORTH HALL BOYS 68, FORSYTH CENTRAL 57: Ebo Smith led the Trojans (8-3) with 24 points on Wednesday in the Holiday Shootout at Johnson.

Griffin Olson and Preston Smith had 14 and 13 points respectively.

North Hall will play at 3:30 p.m. today against North Forsyth.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 50, COMMERCE 32: Kaitlyn Duncan scored 12 points for the Lady Leopards (11-3) on Wednesday at the Wing Slinger Christmas tournament in East Jackson.

Junior McClaine Martin had nine points for the Lady Tigers (3-5).

Banks County will play at 4 p.m. and Commerce will play at 9:30 a.m. today against opponents still to be determined.

BANKS COUNTY BOYS 60, HEBRON CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 49: Adam Hiten led the Leopards with 17 points on Wednesday at the Wing Slinger Christmas tournament in East Jackson.

Taylor Foster added 15 points and Clayton Martin finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Banks County will continue tournament play today against an opponent still to be determined.

UNION COUNTY GIRLS 63, DAWSON COUNTY 47: Senior Rebecca Merritt led the Lady Panthers (10-1) with a season high 30 points Wednesday in the second round of Battle of the States at Towns County High.

Senior Angie Hughes added 16 points and 10 rebounds to the win.

Junior Carly Gilreath had a team high of 9 points for the Tigers.

Union County will play at 7 p.m. today in the championship game against an opponent still to be determined.

UNION COUNTY BOYS 65, MURPHY (N.C.) 40: James Rowe led the Panthers (7-4) to victory Wednesday in the Battle of the States at Towns County High.

Rhett McCombs and Tyler Odom added 15 and 13 points respectively.

Union County will play at 2:30 p.m. today in a fifth place game against Gordon Lee.

SOUTHSIDE (ALA.) BOYS 53, DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 48: Tyler Dominy led the Tigers (11-2) with 22 points Wednesday in the Battle of the States at Towns County High.

Dawson County will play at 5:30 p.m. today against Polk (Tenn.) for third place.

RIVERDALE (TENN.) GIRLS 55, BUFORD 51: Kaela Davis led the Lady Wolves (7-4) with 22 points in the loss at the Peach State Jump Off Classic at Holy Innocents on Wednesday.

Kristina Nelson contributed 12 points for the Lady Wolves. Buford will play Hoover (Ala.) at 3:30 p.m. today in Atlanta.

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 66, MURPHY (N.C.) 48 (Tuesday): Carly Gilreath led the Lady Tigers with 16 points and three steals on Tuesday in the first round of the Battle of the States at Towns County High.
Allie Costley finished with 12 points for Dawson County.
