Liz Fischer scored both goals as the Gainesville High girls soccer team won 2-0 at Loganville on Thursday night to secure the Region 8-AAAAA title, its first region championship in three years. Margaret Carpenter and Breana Fair had the assists on Fischer’s goals. The Lady Red Elephants improved to 11-1 overall and 8-0 in region play.
