There’s not a big gap between the end of thrilling region basketball tournaments and the start of the state tournament. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Class AA-AAAAAA will open their playoff brackets on both the boys and girls side. Later in the week, the Class A private school playoffs will open for both Lakeview Academy programs, both fresh off winning Region 8-A championships Saturday at Athens Academy.
