Habersham Central quarterback Austin Brown hit Chuck Rucker for a 57-yard touchdown with 1:44 to play to give the Raiders a 24-20 win over Monroe Area on Friday at Legion Field.
Brown was 8-for-15 passing with 91 yards for the Raiders (4-4, 4-4 Region 8-AAAA), and Kevin Ellison led on the ground with 32 carries for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Habersham Central plays host to Rockdale County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
UNION COUNTY 42, OGLETHORPE COUNTY 28
Union County and Oglethorpe County went into the half tied at 14-14, but the Panthers rallied to get the win over the Patriots on Friday in Blairsville.
Union County senior quarterback Kolt Owenby was 12-for-26 passing with 248 yards and a pair of touchdowns and rushed 21 times for 91 yards and three touchdowns.
Caylan Tanner had six receptions for 184 yards and a touchdown and a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for the Panthers (4-3, 3-3 Region 8-AA).
Union County visits Dawson County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
WESLEYAN 28, COMMERCE 3
With five seconds left in the first half, Commerce’s Josh Streetman kicked a 20-yard field goal to take the lead 3-0 over Wesleyan, but the Wolves rallied and beat the Tigers (3-4, 2-1 Region 8-A).
Deon Brock rushed 22 times for 81 yards of Commerce’s 101-yard total offense.
The Tigers visit Lakeview Academy at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
NORTH OCONEE 41, DAWSON COUNTY 9
North Oconee remained perfect on the season, overwhelming Dawson County at the Titans homecoming game Friday in Bogart.
Brandon Whitlock had 17 carries for 182 yards and a pair of touchdowns for North Oconee (6-0, 5-0 Region 8-AA), and running back Lane Thompson had five rushes for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Dawson County (1-6, 1-5) plays host to Union County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Jackson County fell to Eastside on Friday in Jefferson. The Panthers play host to Elbert County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Wolves defeated Thomson on Friday in Buford. Buford visits Blessed Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in Roswell.
