Flowery Branch baseball rained out; golf still a go

Flowery Branch's varsity baseball game for today against Harding Academy (Tenn.) has been rained out, but as of 1:30 p.m., the conclusion of the Hall County golf championships is set to go on as scheduled.

There will be no make-up game for the Falcons, who defeated Harding, 4-3, on Monday. Flowery Branch (4-1) returns to action at 5:55 p.m.Wednesday against Cedar Shoals in the Region 8-AAAA opener.

Unless more bad weather intervenes, the Hall County golf championships will begin its final round at 4 p.m today at Royal Lakes Golf Course in Flowery Branch.

After Day 1, Gainesville leads North Hall, 153-154, in the boys competition.

On the girls side, West Hall and Gainesville are tied at 94.
