High school basketball: Flowery Branch girls team picks up big win against West Hall

Flowery Branch’s Ashley Scott scored 21 points in an 87-27 win against West Hall on Friday. Also for the Lady Falcons (15-3, 6-0 Region 7-4A), Ashlee Locke had 18 points and 13 rebounds, Ashley Woodroffe scored 17 points.

Flowery Branch hosts Greater Atlanta Christian at 6 p.m. today.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 63, COMMERCE 27: Eliza Snyder had 28 points and five rebounds for the Lady Lions (14-4, 3-0 Region 8-A). Also chipping in, Jackie Allen scored 12 points and picked up four boards. 

Lakeview Academy hosts Athens Christian at 3:30 p.m. today. 

LAKEVIEW BOYS 81, COMMERCE 52: Blake McIntyre scored a game-high 26 points for the Lions (12-5, 3-0 Region 8-A). Also in double-figures, Adam Cottrell tallied 15 points and eight assists, while Conley Millwood scored 11.  

WINDER-BARROW GIRLS 72, GAINESVILLE 58: Tija Blackwell finished with a team-high 29 points followed by Tia Shelton with 16 for the Lady Red Elephants (10-7, 2-2 Region 8-6A).  

On Tuesday, Gainesville visits Lanier at 6 p.m. in Sugar Hill.  

BUFORD GIRLS 69, LOGANVILLE 31: Tate Walters led the Lady Wolves with 13 points, while Casey Jones hit four 3-pointers to rack up 12 points. 

Next up, Buford hosts Eagle’s Landing at 4 p.m. today.  

LANIER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY GIRLS 55, PRAISE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 12: Shelby Ham and Madison Hughes led the Lady Lightning with 12 points each. Lanier Christian (10-7) shut out the Lady Lions in the first and fourth quarters of the game for the region win. 

On Tuesday, Lanier Christian Academy visits Young American School at 6 p.m. in Conyers. 

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 58, FANNIN COUNTY 32: Maddie Anglin and Sophia D’Oliveira both led the Lady Tigers with 14 points. Rachel Swafford added nine for Dawson County (13-6, 5-2 Region 7-3A). 

Dawson County visits Greater Atlanta Christian at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
