ATLANTA — Mike Bobinski, who has been in charge of Xavier's athletic department for 12 years, was named Georgia Tech's athletic director on Wednesday. Georgia Tech president Bud Peterson said Bobinski will be introduced at a news conference on the Georgia Tech campus on Friday and will begin his new job on April 1. Bobinski was hired as athletic director at Xavier in 1998.
