University of Georgia senior center Ben Jones has been named one of six finalists for the Rimington Trophy, which is given to the most outstanding center in college football.
A 6-foot-3, 316-pound native of Centreville, Ala., Jones has proven to be one of the most dominant linemen in the nation. The two-time SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week graded out at 82 percent average through 12 games and did not give up a sack this season.
No. 18 Georgia (10-3, 7-1 SEC) faces No. 12 Michigan State (10-3, 7-1 Big Ten) in the Outback Bowl at 1 p.m. on Jan. 2 in Tampa, Fla.
